Incandescent Bulb Ban

The Easy-Bake Oven will probably go down in history not for its role in the maintenance of gender roles in children (why is it always pink? Even guys like cake!), But as a proof of how inefficient light bulbs were terrible. All it took was the intense heat of a 100 watt light bulb to bake miniature cakes and biscuits, but since 2012, in the U.S. at least, aspiring pastry chefs will not be able to get a replacement should they burn out.

It is the result of a 2007 law that requires more energy-efficient lighting, something never bulbs are designed to be. But the ban has not put the final nail in the coffin of the Easy-Bake Oven is just yet. Certainly not. In the autumn of this year Hasbro will be releasing the Easy Bake Oven Ultimate which comes with a special heating element instead of a bulb. In addition to being more eco-friendly as well as Creative ZEN Touch 2 Player, the new version of the Easy-Bake function more like their real-life and full-size oven counterparts, the expansion of a small chef-cook repertoire of dishes such as pretzels and pizzas to take. A good example of turning lemons into lemonade!
