Patriot Memory announces Javelin S4 media server

Patriot Memory Launches Javelin S4 media server that comes with four drive bays for standard 3.5-inch hard drives totaling up to 12 TB storage. The device supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 10 and a hot spare drive for improved storage efficiency or performance or dismissal is required. It offers eSATA and USB interfaces for users to add external hard drives, and is compatible with Time Machine.

If a media server, the Javelin, of course, offers networking opportunities. It includes integrated Apple iTunes server, UPnP and DLNA support, integrated BitTorrent cluent, functionaloty automatic backup, and server support. There is also a web browser interface allows users to stream audio, video and images of the Patriot Javelin on an Internet-connected device in the world via a web browser of the mobile phone application for Android and IOS devices as well as Optoma HD20 Home Theater Projector. The Javelin S4 has 256 MB of DDR2 memory and 128 MB of flash memory. It will be released in late February.
