LG LHB535 Home Theater System Review
It would only seem appropriate that the 2010 series of Blu-ray HTIB the ante on previous years increased. In 2009 we saw the rise of the quality of Blu-ray player in this all-in-one, and for 2010 we get more systems with integrated Wi-Fi and a number of streaming media services bundled.
The LG LHB535 is one of the first systems in 2010 and we are looking at its feature set is outstanding. No competing Blu-ray HTIB has at that price no HDMI inputs and the LHB535 two – add much to a cable box and game console. It also has built-in Wi-Fi, while Panasonic SC-BT300 and Samsung HT-C5500 both you need an adapter for Wi-Fi expensive to buy. We were less concerned with sound quality that is impressive not have enough influence to our home theater taste, although it will still probably work for less critical listeners. If you are looking to most of the functions are getting for your money, then that is basically unbeatable LHB535, but it will probably not be the best sound system in 2010.
The sleekly designed system is a LHB535, trimmed with shiny black plastic completely. The main unit itself is a little stronger as a stand-alone Blu-ray player, measuring 16.9 cm wide, 2.5 cm high and 11 centimeters deep. The 5.1 system consists of four identical front and surround speakers, a lean stripped down center channel and a passive subwoofer. The four main speakers are small enough to almost completely unobtrusive in a living room environment. Overall it is a stylish package, but the plastic boxes give it a cheap feel that mutual friends for all home-theater-in-a-box systems at this price.

The main unit is a hidden iPod dock that tilts down when you press the center of the front panel. There are six playback buttons on the right, located directly under a volume control. On the left side of the unit there is a flap that hides a USB port, line-in, and a tray-loading Blu-ray drive. It is a compact unit when you consider how much functionality packed onto
Overall, the included remote control works well and feels good in your hand. We appreciate the large amount of rock in the center of the remote, as we do considerable playback buttons above. However, the direct input buttons would have been a nice touch – especially for HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 – although we have found it easy to navigate input from the graphical user interface (GUI).
Going into our performance tests, we thought the LHB535 small satellite speaker size would play a role in their sound. Case in point, surround sound speakers in front and malnourished, but the subwoofer does his best to provide a solid foundation for the sound. The center speaker sounded a little better than the front and surround satellite speakers, so fortunately dialogue sounded clear and well balanced.
The Michael Jackson “This Is It” DVD fully exercised LHB535 the speakers and subwoofer. By tapping the volume higher and higher we have learned, can play LHB535 quite loud without distorting. However, it has done its limits as HTIB with small speakers, almost always. The front-to-surround setting on the DVD Jackson was good and the subwoofer is pretty powerful, but bass clarity and dynamics Pep wanted anymore.

Sure enough, the LHB535 has not completely embarrass himself with the “Black Hawk Down” Blu-ray battle sequences. The sound was clear, surround-effects filled the room, but the fiery helicopter crash and explosions do not we tackle the beat of, say, have heard the Onkyo HT-S7200.
The LHB535 the speakers’ sound was too light and thin, probably because the satellite never sound gels completely with the subwoofer. This led us to experiment with the LHB535′s Sound Effect options. The Clear Voice (sound effect) took off from the edge Bass and Blast warmed up the sound and reduces the brightness. Although we normally do not use HTIB sound modes, we found it necessary to LHB535.
Moving on to our music CD review of LHB535 has its own. This is not always the case with HTIB – most do a better job with movies than music – but the LHB535′s sounded good to classical, jazz and rock music. The bright sound and bass were still loosely defined concerns, and the LHB535 always sounded like what it really is: a small home theater system.
Overall, we were with the Blu-ray LHB535 impressive image quality, because they passed all of the most important test patterns and program material. We found the performance to be similar (though not identical) Stand Alone LG BD570. For a more in-depth look at these players Blu-ray and DVD applications, we recommend the review for the review of the LG BD570.
