Klipsch CS-500 2.1 Home Theater System Review
We recognize and have addressed the problem with the DVD player part of our Klipsch CS-500 2.1 Home Theater System. We have recently (MAR-10) extended the DVD part of the Klipsch CS-500, a much more robust and reliable mechanism (this includes units currently in-stock at Amazon).
After recognizing the failure rate of the CS-500 DVD’s section was not up to Klipsch standards we implemented this upgrade at the factory level. Sleek, simple and small, the Klipsch CS-500 2.1 Home Theater System puts the ultimate cinema experience into your living room with fewer wires and less components.
By the way, Dolby Virtual Speaker technology, this amazing compact design provides the effect of a large, 5.1 home theater system with just two satellites, a subwoofer and an A/V center. Each magnetically shielded satellite speaker employs dual 2.5-inch high-output woofers and a 0.75″ horn tweeter. Our exclusive Tractrix (R) technology is what makes this horn home theater system, provide a real-life sound, and higher productivity with less energy.
The radiating down subwoofer utilizes a powerful 6.5″ woofer. The A/V center features a built-in Class D amplifier that distributes 35 watts to each satellite speakers and 100 watts to the subwoofer. It also includes Dolby Virtual Speaker technology along with a progressive scan DVD/CD player, AM/FM tuner and three auxiliary inputs.
The Klipsch CS-500 home theater system has to pass even the possibility of high-definition signals through a component output and can simplify all the auxiliary input connections into a single convenient output to the TV. An easy-to-use universal IR remote controls all system functions as well as the TV and other entertainment devices.
