ApriPoco from Toshiba

Toshiba has some interesting projects going on with TV and computers, and this is a particularly a robot that looks more like a side project, really.

It is called the ApriPoco, and I’m not sure what the translation. If you ask me, it sounds like Acapulco, which I’ve heard a very nice place to go. Okay, I am always clearly off-topic.

Anyway, this 8.4-inch robots apparently an interesting universal remote control like on Klipsch Synergy C-10 Premium Speaker. In fact, there is a video of it after the jump, and you can talk the lady to see the robot to do things.

That is, I think that’s what happens. The video is a little vague, as it is in a language I do not know, but you can ApriPoco’s watchful eyes of little (the cameras have to see them), as it takes orders from his master. Or, in the video of the event, the mistress. Notice how the display switches behind them a different image on command like.

For some reason, the video shows, furniture, seems to move on command from its user. Toshiba is the way to show how they intend to give customers control over their entire city?

I’m not sure if this order is directed at all, but it certainly looks like something that could quite popular at some point. Can you customize the ApriPoco it looks like something else?
