Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 could receive Android 2.1 for U.S. launch
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 deals were announced so long ago that most people have been bored and waiting to put their sites to newer, faster Android phones. We had originally thought the X10 would AT & T or T-Mobile land, but neither carrier has made no announcements on the device.
Now that newer Android phones are launched on the market, the Xperia X10 does with its outdated firmware 1.6 Android be aging. If you want you sould better check out HTC Desire T-Mobile. Sony Ericsson wanted to say to us, not the version of Android really matter by including the adjustments to the phone (as Mediascape and Timescape), but we know better.
Sony Ericsson finally wised up and said: Android 2.1 would like to get the X10, but it would be available after the start not only in the second half of the year.
So where are we today? Review units will be passed around some of the blogs, but no U.S. launch date is in place. Given its current lineup, we still think AT & T and T-Mobile wants the high-end mobile phone to carry in their shops.
Sony Ericsson confirmed the phone in Q2 2010 (presumably come to the U.S.) with a “muchly updated OS. You did not say specifically which version of the firmware will include it, but Android 2.1 is the next logical step 1.6.
