Opera Mini reaches 50 million monthly unique users

Opera Software announced that the mobile browser Opera Mini, the 50 million monthly users pass mark) in the last month (January.

This represents an increase of 150% compared to January last year, when over 20 million people used Opera Mini on the Web on their cell phones and smartphones browser.

Opera says that according to Gartner, “Mobile phones will overtake PCs as the most common web access device worldwide,” in 2013 – which means that the adoption of Opera Mini will grow even more.

Earlier this week, announced that Opera that it would present a version of Opera Mini for iPhone at MWC, even if they did not say when it would be publicly available.
