Rumor: 3D Blu-ray ready by summer 2010
Looks like we might be in a position to 3D Blu-ray movies until next summer to enjoy. According to NVIDIA’s PR manager for Great Britain and Northern Europe, Ben Berraondo, the Blu-ray Association has finally agreed on the details of the 3D Blu-ray.
NVIDIA 3D vision technology is able to display this new standard, but most of us have our existing hardware upgrade as many HDTVs at a 60Hz refresh rate to run, while 3D films require a refresh rate of 120 Hz. I’m still not sure that this 3D thing is not just a fad, but I think nobody wants to miss, so that each company to jump on the moving train.
