Acer Liquid A1 – First Snapdragon Android
At an event in London, just Acer’s first 1GHz Snapdragon-based Android phone – the Acer Liquid A1. The name is a bit confusing, as the company mentioned in relation to the phone as the A1 on the stage, but in a press release announcing the launch of its complete line of Android phones Acer Liquid. So, I guess this falls into line with other “lines” such as the Omnia, Instinct, Xperia, etc …. Brand Model Number. So until further notice … Acer Liquid A1!
Despite the event and the press release, full details on the device are still unknown. What we do not know:
- 1GHz Snapdragon processor
- WVGA screen (800 x 480 resolution)
- Capacitive Touch Screen
- 5MP camera with geo-tagging
- HSPA connections
- Android 1.6 Donut
- New user interface including access to entertainment bookmarks
- Spinlet – Free Music video streaming, which can be shared with friends family thruogh Web E-Mail
- Social Network Integration … Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Picasa, Flickr
- Acer Sync
- Comes in red, white or black
