Microsoft to launch tool for installing Windows 7 from a USB flash drive
Want Windows 7 install on your Windows XP Netbook, but not like when you buy the Windows 7 installation CD and a USB DVD drive to make it feel? Microsoft is now offering Netbook users a possibility to download the operating system installed directly to a PC and a USB flash drive.
It also can be installed on asus n61.
Here’s how it works. First, visit the Windows 7 for netbooks page and to purchase and download the version of Windows 7, you can choose your interest 7 Windows Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Ultimate. Windows 7 starter is not an option.
If you have downloaded disk image, you can use the new Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool (WUDT) to copy the installation files onto a 4 GB or larger USB flash drive and then use, that the operating system to install USB flash drive.
