GlideTV bows unusual HTPC trackpad remote
Catering specifically home theater computer, GlideTV produces an unusual controller known as Navigator. The shell-shaped peripheral has shows a trackpad for mouse, but of AV controls, and surrounding a directional pad, which facilitate navigation through joint applications. It can navigate through Front Row and iTunes on Mac, Windows Media Center, and platform-independent applications like Boxee or SageTV.
The system uses a USB RF wireless adapter connected and it will work on a core level with almost any device that detects USB input, including consoles like the PS3. For now, Windows users get the most features and links to an on-screen keyboard and a button, the queues to look for VOD Amazon, Google, Hulu, Netflix and YouTube.
GlideTV says the Navigator should be on sale today.
