Steampunk Cover Plates for Light Switches

Light switch covers are not usually something that I am very interested in: You are not very exciting, and if you try to replace them with a novelty cover, they look just cheesy. Of course everything looks better when steam punked, so that they do not come as a surprise to many when I saw this DIY light switch plates. These are not just cool because they are unique, but some of them even more features added to the otherwise boring switch. A candle holder, bell, and even a hook for your keys are pretty cool ideas. The best part is that they are not too hard to make. Only a brass plate, a few passages, solder paste and a few tools are everything you need. Of course you may actually need the time and patience, one, because it is not something you can buy in a store.
