Braille e-reader concept

With the introduction of Amazon’s Kindle, we are all only too familiar with the e-Reader. The technology, which uses E Ink technotrans grade is the answer to a book (although it would prefer technotrans grade their shelves groaning from the weight of the books they are during their lifetime). But what about a version of the e-reader for the visually impaired?A Korean quartet of designers – Seon-Keun Park, Min Byung-Woo, Sun-Woo and Hye Jin-Sun Park – have dealt with a concept for a Braille e-book. Simple design, the device uses electroactive polymers, which change shape when voltage is through them that the Braille, the characters. Since the traditional paper-Braille books for the blind, about twice the size of normal books, this might be a muscle-savers for those of us who unseeing or partially sighted.
